“Modern or classic, treat it with Sea Foam®"

Hello!

dani_davis

My name is Danielle Lynn Davis. I can sincerely say I was born to race. In fact, I was even born on a race weekend – July 15th, 1990 in Brainerd, MN.  Since childhood my sister Kayla and I have been watching our father, Jim Davis, along with our godfather, Sam Dercole, race cars.

Racing has always been and will continue to be a huge part of my life.  We race a 1966 Nova and a bright red 2002 Camaro. Thankfully, Sea Foam® Sales Co. helps sponsors us, as they have for several fun-filled years now!

Since the beginning, I was always excited to be part of a race team. Now, at 21 years old I am proud to say that I am part of Sea Foam®'s race team as one of the two team drivers.

I joined the team two years ago, and I was very pleased with my improvement throughout the 2009 and 2010 seasons. I went into my first national event feeling very eager, excited, and confident.
As a result, I ended up reaching Round 4. After winning my first round ever in competition, I was ecstatic. The fact that it was at a national event made it that much better.

This year has gotten off to a slow start. My Nova needed some updates and was out of commision for the first race as my dad was fixing and getting the car right again. In the mean time I was offered a ride in Chris Bishop's 1992 Camaro super/street car and bracket raced it over the July 4th weekend when I won my first gamblers race on Saturday night. The next day brought on a new race and I won bracket One at the National Dragster Challenge at Grove Creek Raceway and won an NHRA Wally. I then went on to win the gamblers race and the bonus round that same day. I now have my Nova back and I'm looking forward to the NHRA National Event at Brainered International Raceway in August.

I fell in love with the sport even more. When racing, I feel it is vital to feel comfortable and at ease with your car.
Therefore, these past years I've focused on learning as much as possible, particularly with the '66 Nova. To me this is important, especially when going 145 mph! I have become very passionate and quite competitive with the sport of drag racing. I have role models, such as Ashley Force, to look up to. And I know I will continue to be involved in the drag racing world for several years to come.

To all the gentlemen out there, I'm sorry to say, drag racing is no longer a "Man's sport!"

We'll have more news and updates for you soon!
See you at the drag strip!
